About Us
MSK Education was formed in order to bring the latest state-of-the-art musculoskeletal examination diagnostic assessment skills to the health community in a practical and economical format.
Dr. Janice Harvey BSc, MD, CCFP, FRCP, Dip Sport Med is the Director, Primary Care Sport Medicine at the McMaster University Sport and Orthopedic Injuries Centre, and concurrently the Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Family Medicine, McMaster University along with being the Chair of the CME Committee of the Ontario College of Family Physicians. She has abundant national and international experience, including Common-
wealth Games '94 and being Chief Medical Officer of the World University Games - Italy '97 and Slovakia '99.
Dr. Harvey was appointed as the Canadian Delegate to the World University Sport
Federation - FISU '00 to present. She is a graduate of the McMaster Contemporary
Medical Acupuncture Program '99 and a graduate of the UCLA Acupuncture
Course for Physicians (2000). Dr. Harvey is also the past chair of the Ontario Medical
Association Sports Medicine Executive, and the Committee on Woman's Issues in Sport Medicine for the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine (CASM).
Michelle Acorn RN (EC), ENC (C), MN ACNP, GNC(C) is both a Primary and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Lakeridge Health (Durham Region), with clinical expertise in Emergency, Hospitalist, Post Acute Care/Complex Continuing Care (Geriatrics, Palliative, Chronic Disease Management).
She completed a BA (Health) / BScN with a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate at York University and also holds a Master of Nursing and Acute Care Nurse Practioner Certificate at the University of Toronto. Michelle posses Emergency, Geriatrics and Anticoagulation Provider Certifications. She is cross appointed as an Associate Professor with the Ontario Univeristy Institute of Technology and instructs for the COUPN NP Program and Ryerson University.
